Cover: The Crusade by BookWorm

Juliet was six and Annabeth was one when they ran away from their home with a suitcase that their dead father had given them. The second day alone, they had been in a dark alley. Then, something had come out from the other end and chased them out. Both of them had never been educated because their mother had planned on homeschooling them. She had died in a car crash days before and their aunt had taken the in. Their snooty, mean, nasty aunt who makes you do everything for her. She had taken them in and raised them for a day and a half. She drove Juliet crazy that in the middle of the night, she packed her suitcase with clothes, tissues, soaps, shampoos, magazines (even though neither of them could read), and food. Also, they both had a full water-bottle/sippy cup. An orphanage finds them deep in the woods and brings them to an isolated building on the top of a mountain. They started their education there and soon realized that it wasn't an orphanage, but a school. They were never adopted out and they had a rather strange education.
