War lies to the east. A throne beckons to the west. Secrets long buried are reemerging as common rumors. Time presses like a dead-weight on nobility. The world balances on the edge of a knife, one misstep and countries shall be plunged into war and anarchy. Time waits for no man, including the recently dead Wiliam Relick who emerges from hiding to take up his part in history. Iselia Reyli, a beautiful, frosty-eyed noblewoman who dances the Blood Games better than any noble Wiliam has ever known, is one of the few who can prevent nations plunging back into the Times of Terror. Lord Cornal Reneva is the descendent of King Chara Gallant, Conqueror of Lands and Uniter of Nations. If the three of them can not maintain peace, then no one can. Blood shall be spilt before the end. But how long will the knife balance?
