Cover: Switch by Rachel Smith

It is 2120 A.D. and humans, aliens and androids all rule the planet (and the moon as well). It is a peaceful time, full of new inventions and technology, but there are secrets behind how the three races came to coexist.

[Note: I'm a little low on time these days, so I only made the first cover despite the fact that you requested covers for the rest of the series as well. I'll only be able to make the other two if you choose to use this cover. Because I'm not taking the time to do all three, you won't have to do any free reads for me. The design process: I started by browsing through tech-related textures in the deviantART stock database, but the motherboards and circuitry weren't really doing anything for me aesthetically. Eventually I downloaded a zip file of this texture set from So-ghislaine, since I knew that if you asked me to make covers for the rest of the series, I could easily pick another texture from the set to make it look cohesive. Plus, these look futuristic without being too bogged down in mechanics. I fiddled with the color scheme in PicMonkey to make the background cleaner and more green because you requested that sort of color, and then I set about adding the text. Since I knew I wanted a clean, no-nonsense sans serif font to fit the science fiction genre of Switch, I used Champagne & Limousines as the font for both the title and author text. The layering behind the title, as well as the U P P E R C A S E and lowercase contrast between the title and author name, was meant to add an appealing visual element to what can otherwise be a somewhat boring font.

Arthurian Legends are coming true in modern day Chicago. Merlin is a 16-year-old orphan who is receiving intense training in her use of magic... so intense that it is beginning to chip away at her sanity. Her tutor is a prejudiced fairy who is training her to become a weapon against the daemons that have threatened to invade the Fairy Kingdom. She has formed a romantic attachment to the Uther character, High Lord over the daemons, and she is caught between worlds, between friends, and she has little or no control over her magical abilities so that she is continually hurting those she loves as she struggles to find her place.

I had a lot of trouble with this, but it was fun :) First I did a cutout of the girl photo (which is really lovely, BTW) on Pixlr Editor. I couldn't cut out a few of those black grains, so I left them and decided they would look like "magic". The overall effect of that turned out nice. Then I had to deal with the city photo - this went from Pixlr Express to PicMonkey, where I added the banner. The text I did in Google Creative Kit. I hope this works okay!

So I couldn't exactly get a circle collage layout for this one, or the exact, specific pictures that were requested. So I did my best - hopefully it looks okay. It was kind of hard to find space for the author name, but it ended up happening fine, so no worries. The texture I just thought was cool :) Hope you like the cover!

The end of the world begins with a video. It is at first thought to be a movie advertisement. But when a heat wave, a deadly disease, and two storms that knock out the world come about, it is suspected to be something more. With most of the world dead, all 13-year-olds Paige, Xavier, Connor, and Caroline want to do is survive. But that proves to not be so easy. At first, they are on their own. In a stroke of luck, they find a village of survivors, and stay there for a while. But bad luck strikes, and they are forced to leave. They do find another place to stay- the compound of The Circle, the people who brought the disaster about. Unknowing at first, they eventually discover the group's secret- they willingly caused the end of the world. They spy and eventually escape, but their knowledge is something they can't ignore.
