Ella has been trained from birth to be a rule-abiding citizen, following the strict guidelines of her society. Ayvah has been trained from birth that "right" is a relative matter, and that the best society is one where it's citizens are totally free. The societies are at war. And when Ella and Ayvah turn 18, they are drafted to fight, against each other. When they come face to face for the first time, the secret about their lives will be revealed.
